I read The Art of Political Manipulation *many* years ago, back in grad school (a den of rat-choice rebels during its controversial years), and applied Riker's wisdom & insights as best I could ever after. A classic; thanks for reminding me of its greatness. I think I'll pull it off the shelf and read it again!

Amazing! People look at credentials (was chief counsel at IU) and not at achievements or disachievements. I found a link verifying your claim.
